Out and in, opening by opening
On a refurbishment the old frames come out and the new ones go in the same day wherever we can, so rooms are not left open to the weather. We survey the existing openings, and allow for what we find when the old frames are removed.
At Roxby House in Sidcup we replaced the original ribbon windows of a five-storey 1960s–70s block floor by floor. At Giles Place in Ipswich we fitted new aluminium windows throughout a five-storey office block, including the courtyard glazing and roof access hatches.
Occupied buildings
Where people are still living or working in the building, we agree the order of work with you in advance, keep each area tidy at the end of the day and work to the access arrangements you have with residents or tenants.
We are FENSA registered (no. 42096), so replacement windows in existing homes can be certified under the Building Regulations without a separate building control application.
